SITE ENGINEER required for a well-established mid-sized ambitious Main Building Contractor, to work on Commercial, Educational & Residential projects. Our client has a great reputation in the sector and has a solid pipeline of projects in the midlands and surrounding Dublin Areas for the next few years. This role has great potential for career progression and growth with the contractor. This is an ideal role for a Site Engineer who has strong setting-out experience who wants to take their career to the next level with plenty of mentorship and opportunities to progress. What is required is a self-starter and problem solver with the ability to work well in teams, who can then expect to enjoy career advancement opportunities within a relatively short timeframe.

REQUIRED:

- Minimum 3 years + experience of setting out on building projects in Ireland or UK

- HND/ Degree Qualification in Engineering

- Worked as a Site Engineer for a main contractor previously with experience managing subbies and other site engineer duties.

- Working knowledge of all modern & new surveying instruments and equipment

- Excellent IT skills.

THE ROLE/ DUTIES :

- Reporting to the Site Manager.

- Setting Out - Sub & Superstructure.

- Subcontractor management.

- Responsibility for all day-to-day construction related issues.

- Site supervision of various trades and contractors.

- Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate.

- Making sure the work performed and materials used are as specified in the contract.

- Liaising with subcontractors, clients, and other professional staff.

- Maintaining an exceptional high standard of health and safety.

- Maintain continuous professional development to ensure appropriate technical awareness.

- Manage sub-contractors and involvement with meetings.
