Our salaries are competitive, with 40 working hours per week Monday to Friday. 25 days Holiday plus Statutory Days and superb Pension.
The role consists of working within a team to provide the full range of activities required for preparation of fire resistance tests.
The work will include the installation of the constructional elements onto large-scale furnace test frames, installation and set-up of instrumentation such as thermocouples and transducers, maintenance of equipment, off-loading/loading deliveries, daily contact and co-ordination with our test engineers and our clients and their sub-contractors. There are many more activities to ensure the constant through flow of test work through a busy and heavy industrial fire test laboratory.
Required attributes:
·Exceptional awareness of health and safety requirements.
General proficiency in use of Microsoft Office standard software.
Familiar with use of general measuring equipment and calibrations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in construction (brickwork, blockwork, plastering, welding, carpentry, etc.)
Desirable attributes:
Previous experience of fire testing.
