Ballynahinch Castle Hotel & Estate is currently seeking an exceptional Restaurant Manager to lead up the Owenmore Restaurant.

As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and perform the following responsibilities:

•Schedule and plan the roster to coincide with business levels and operational requirements.

•To manage the restaurant floor, delivering a premium guest experience.

•To coordinate restaurant bookings ensuring tables are yielded correctly, opportunities are maximised, but guest experience is always maintained.

•To embrace a positive relationship with colleagues and guests alike.

•To foster a positive and professional working environment where team members are nurtured, trained, and prepared for their duties.

•Organise the daily work tasks of all F&B team members on duty. Ensure tasks are delegated appropriately in your absence so that standards are maintained.

•Identify training needs, implement SOPs and retrain on a daily basis.

•To liaise with the Head Chef to collaborate on service, menus, and future plans of the restaurant.

•To be responsible for the upkeep and stocking of the wine cellars and restaurant.

•To assist in the smooth, efficient management of the lounges pre and post dinner.

•Ensure that both you and your team are fully trained on menu dishes and convey confidence to guests to advise and answer questions.

•To ensure the restaurant is profitable, ensuring waste is minimised and budgets are managed.

•To participate in the hotel's Green Committee embracing our policies and assist in implement training in your department.

Requirements of the Role

•Similar experience in a restaurant or hotel restaurant is required.

•WSET training will be beneficial for the role.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•Must have the ability to provide leadership and foster a positive environment.

•Be solution driven and with a good attention to detail.

•Welcome customers Excellent customer service skills.
