Description
Reporting to the Duty Manager the General Maintenance Operative will be responsible for carrying out the following duties to the highest possible standards:
Provide general maintenance tasks such as painting, decorating, general repair and grounds works to ensure the upkeep of grounds is meeting the highest standards and in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and protocols.
Carry out maintenance repairs.
Recycling and waste management.
Accommodation and venue set up.
Grass cutting and general grounds maintenance.
Goods inwards.
Stock control and management.
Identify and report problematic areas on the grounds to management.
Maintain effective and respectful communications at all times with residents, visitors and staff.
Ensure that you and your team are committed to promote and strengthen a culture of quality, respect, safety and kindness always.
Carry out all routine daily tasks as set by your manager.
Provide assistance to residence as and when required.
Being fully conversant with all of Mosney Village’s health and safety, fire and security regulations and procedures.
Daily upkeep of the department.
Continually seek to improve the departments efficiency and operational standards.
Be proactive and attend to any other issues which may arise during your shift.
Ensure there is effective communication within the team regarding the requirements for the department.
Report and communicate to the department and your manager, any incidents and/or complaints which occur on shift in a timely and accurate manner.

YOUR QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role with property maintenance experience demonstrating a rounded knowledge and broad skill set.
Basic knowledge in areas such as painting, carpentry, ground works ect.
Strong PC skills and comfortable using systems.
A full clean driving license is required.
Excellent interpersonal English and communication skills are required (both written and verbal.
Experience driving a tractor and other garden equipment and machinery.
