We are currently recruiting a Junior Quantity Surveyor to be based in Cork area. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor at Ward and Burke you will support the Senior QS in commercial and quality aspects of the project.

Responsibilities Includes, But Is Not Limited To The Following

Support the project team in commercial aspects of the business.
Support the onsite team with cost control, cost reporting and forecasting.
Analysis of drawings, specifications, and other documentation for analysis of labour, plant and materials costs.
Tracking of variations.
Valuation and agreement of work sections.
Project procurement of material, sub-contractors and plant including tender analysis.
Document Management.

Requirements

Minimum of a third level qualification on a relevant field. E.g., Quantity Surveying/Construction Economics.
1-3 years relevant experience working in Civil Engineering or Construction.
Confident using Microsoft packages and AutoCAD.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent planning, organisational, teamwork and presentation skills.
Ability to work individually and as part of a multi- functional team.
