Description
Coldchain manufacture temperature control equipment for a wide range of mobile applications. Our customers use this equipment for the transport of chilled and frozen foods, vaccines, medicines and blood products. A full time position exists to support the workshop in installing, certifying and maintaining this equipment.
This role involves the following;
· This job is primarily workshop based with the option for occasional off site work.
· Work individually or as part of a team on projects in the workshop.
· Diagnostics with software and code readers of equipment failures.
· Report to the service manager on repair requests and diagnostics.
· Manage vehicle care for customers.
· Use of refrigerant handling and workshop equipment in the correct manor.
· Record parts used and completion of job sheets.
· Maintain a clean and safe environment in the workshop.
Experience
Successful applicants should have a strong interest / aptitude for mechanical engineering and previous experience of working on vehicles or agricultural equipment is a distinct advantage.
Applicants should have good problem and fault finding ability.
Training
The successful candidate will receive ongoing training on various aspects in their role;
· Vehicle refrigeration equipment installation. Chilled, frozen and climate control temperature applications.
· Diesel burner heating systems for truck cab maintenance, diagnostic and repair.
· Truck cab air-conditioning installation, maintenance, diagnostic and repair.
Minimum Qualifications
· Mechanical /Agricultural Engineering or equivalent. Level 6 or 7.
· Driving license preferred.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
· Computer and diagnostic software literacy.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
· 8 hour day shift, 39 hour week.
· Monday to Friday
· Weekends off.
