This is the first step to begin your career in the construction industry with Cunningham Contracts. As a groundworker, you will ensure sites are prepared prior and during the construction process. You will make sure that there are adequate foundations, drainage, electrical and water connections and the groundworkers role to endure the infrastructure to a building site is complete. Driveways, paths, and roads are also part of your role. Within this role, you will be part of a team responsible for co-ordinating and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and to programme.

Duties and Responsibilities

Laying drainage pipes, pavements, manhole covers and resurfacing roads.
Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Mixing and pouring concrete to make foundations, beams or floors.
Marking out the area for the site using string lines and putting up barriers and safety signs.
Following all health and safety procedures
Who we're looing for

Previous site experience
Hard-working, focused individual that can work to instruction and work to own initiative.
As a minimum we would expect is a CSR (UK/ROI) or SOLAS card (ROI) card
Essential Criteria

CSR (NI/ROI) or SafePass (ROI) card
Location of Underground Services Training (LUGS)
Manual Handling certificate
