Our client, a leading Tier 2 Main Contractor are seeking applications for a Fireproofing Operations Manager to lead and oversee their fireproofing projects across various locations, the projects are predominantly in the midlands and Dublin.
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of fireproofing operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fireproofing, project management, and team leadership, with a focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of fireproofing projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and safety standards.
- Lead and manage fireproofing teams, providing direction and support to site supervisors and project teams.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and resource management.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and contractors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor quality control and performance.
- Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays or issues on-site.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on fireproofing methods, materials, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, compliance documentation, and safety reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fireproofing Operations Manager or in a senior management role within the fireproofing or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of fireproofing materials, systems, and application techniques.
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale fireproofing projects and teams.
- Excellent understanding of safety, compliance, and quality control standards within the industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards success.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Project management certification (desirable).
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
