Senior Manager Energy Engineering
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Manager Energy Engineering will drive the implementation of an energy engineering strategy, providing leadership to a team of engineers focused on energy efficiency, sustainability, and renewable energy solutions. This role is pivotal in delivering energy-efficient designs, retrofitting projects, and low-carbon initiatives for diverse non-residential clients.
With a blend of technical expertise, people leadership, and project management, this position will collaborate across teams, stakeholders, and external partners to achieve ambitious energy and sustainability goals. As a key influencer, the Senior Manager will work with senior leaders in client organizations to shape their decarbonization strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
Develop strategies and oversee the delivery of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy projects.
Provide technical oversight and support for energy audits, building assessments, and performance improvement plans.
Guide the development of energy-efficient designs and systems for both retrofits and new builds.
Monitor and analyze energy consumption data, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in energy efficiency and sustainability, ensuring compliance and innovation in all projects.
Evaluate the feasibility of integrating renewable energy sources, considering financial and environmental impacts.
Prepare and deliver reports on energy performance, sustainability progress, and project outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
Offer training and guidance to client teams to promote energy-conscious behaviors and practices.
Collaborate with local authorities and certification bodies to ensure compliance with energy efficiency standards and secure relevant certifications.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
9+ years of experience in energy engineering, energy management, or a similar role.
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
Expertise in energy-efficient technologies, HVAC systems, lighting systems, building automation, and renewable energy solutions.
Familiarity with energy regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting energy data and proposing actionable solutions.
Proficiency in energy modeling software, data analysis tools, and MS Office Suite.
Demonstrated project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent is advantageous.
