Assistant Quarry Production Manager

Role Overview: The Assistant Quarry Production Manager will support the Quarry Production Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient and safe extraction and processing of limestone. This role involves supervising staff, managing resources, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Supervision: Assist in managing quarry operations, including extraction, crushing, and processing activities, to meet production targets.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor quarry staff, ensuring effective teamwork and adherence to safety protocols.
Safety Compliance: Implement and monitor health and safety policies, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
Resource Management: Coordinate the maintenance and utilisation of equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Quality Control: Oversee product quality, ensuring that all materials meet established standards and specifications.
Reporting: Prepare and present operational reports, including production data, safety incidents, and maintenance activities, to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, or a related field, or demonstrated experience in the quarrying industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in quarrying equipment and processes, with a strong understanding of extraction and processing techniques.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to the quarrying industry.
Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated capability to lead teams, manage resources, and drive operational efficiency.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Driving Licence: A valid Irish driving licence is essential for this role.
