The Role

The Design Coordinator will oversee design activities across multiple projects, ensuring designs meet industry standards, client specifications, and project requirements. The role requires strong coordination between project teams, external consultants, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Design Coordination: Manage and coordinate design activities, ensuring that all designs align with client requirements, project specifications, and relevant industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal project teams, external consultants, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless design integration.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure design deliverables meet quality standards, are accurate, and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Client Liaison: Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their expectations are met and promptly address any design-related queries or issues.
- Documentation Management: Oversee the management of all design documentation, ensuring that all drawings, specifications, and project materials are well-organised and up to date.
- Site Travel: Travel to the Drogheda site to support the implementation of design solutions on-site and ensure alignment between the design and construction teams.

Key Requirements

- Experience: Proven experience in design coordination within the construction industry.
- Skills: Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the design process, construction methods, and relevant regulations.
- Qualifications: A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant tools.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify design challenges and work collaboratively with teams to develop effective solutions.
- Irish Driving License: Essential for site visits and travel between the Dublin office and Drogheda site.

Location & Package
Location: Based in Dublin, with regular travel to the Drogheda site.
