Site Engineers

We are working with our client, a leading Tier 2 main contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to work on a large residential project in Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveying and Setting Out: Conduct site surveys, set out reference points, and establish benchmarks to guide construction activities accurately.
Quality Control: Monitor and maintain quality standards by conducting inspections, tests, and assessments. Address any deviations from project specifications promptly.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of construction activities.
Problem Solving: Identify and address engineering issues on-site, proposing solutions and adjustments as necessary.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including site diaries, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
Health and Safety: Enforce and adhere to health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a culture of safety among the project team.
Materials Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials, ensuring optimal resource utilization.


Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field desirable
Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Proficient in surveying and setting out using total stations and other surveying equipment.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD and project management software
