About the Role:
Our client, a long-established and highly regarded steel engineering company based in Wexford, is seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This role offers hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects – from bespoke residential builds to large-scale pharmaceutical sector developments.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with early experience in construction who is eager to learn, grow, and progress into a more senior project management role. With the support and mentorship of experienced Project and Contracts Managers, you’ll gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers and Contracts Managers in planning and delivering multiple construction projects nationwide.
Assist in coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel to ensure timely and budget-friendly project execution.
Track and report on project progress, budgets, and schedules.
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and internal standards across all sites.
Help manage project documentation including contracts, procurement records, and reports.
Attend site meetings, liaise with clients and contractors, and assist in resolving any on-site issues.
Contribute to resource planning, scheduling, and the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
What You Need:
1–2 years’ experience in the construction industry (residential experience preferred).
Exposure to or experience supporting project coordination or project management.
Understanding of construction processes, health & safety standards, and project documentation.
Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office (Excel/Word); experience with Procore, Buildertrend, or similar systems is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
A proactive attitude with a hunger to learn and grow professionally.
Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
