Environmental Health & Safety Advisor – Dublin & Midlands Region
Location: Sites across Dublin and the Midlands
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Dunwood Recruitment is working with a well-established main contractor recognised for excellence in delivering Commercial New Builds, Design & Build projects, Fit Outs, and Conservation & Refurbishment works. Operating across a range of sectors including commercial, retail, energy, pharma, and biomedical, they are known for consistently maintaining high standards in health, safety, quality, and environmental performance.

The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and diligent Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to support the safe delivery of construction projects across Dublin and the Midlands. The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in construction safety and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance and driving safety standards across multiple live sites.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and ensure compliance with Irish health and safety regulations and internal procedures.
Carry out regular site audits and inspections, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain site-specific safety documentation such as RAMS, safety statements, and induction records.
Lead toolbox talks and assist in delivering ongoing safety training to site teams and subcontractors.
Encourage a culture of safety awareness through daily interaction with site staff and management.
Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and help implement preventive measures.
Take part in internal health and safety reviews and improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
A third-level qualification in Health & Safety or a related field.
2–3 years of construction site safety experience in Ireland.
In-depth knowledge of Irish construction H&S legislation.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Ability to manage your own schedule across various sites.
Full Irish driving licence.
Valid authorisation to work in Ireland.
