The Role: Apprentice engineer (1st year) – Construction Plant Fitting
Location: Dublin (Re-locating to Co Meath 2022)
Our apprentice engineer are responsible for;
To complete all training related documents and assignments on time and in the approved format
Meet unit completion deadlines as set on Individual Learning Plans
Follow all reasonable and lawful instructions including those relating to Health and Safety
Attend all training at the request of the Training Department
To project a good image by wearing the Company Uniform at all times whilst on duty including college and training courses
Keep a diary of all daily activities up to date at all times
Ensure that any documentation relating to the job is completed to Company standard and submitted on time and that a copy is kept for referencing purposes
Successfully complete module milestones within the agreed timeline
To recognize customer or engineer safety related matters and bring them to the attention of your Line Manager or the safety team
Attend all off the job phases as required by the training provider (Solas).
Attending training courses at our central location will be required.
Depending on your location, long periods of time away from home will be required during training while attending off the job phases of the apprenticeship.
Our apprentice engineers demonstrate;
Grade D in 5 subjects at Junior certificate level or an approved equivalent or the successful completion a pre-apprenticeship course
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
A basic knowledge of the principals of health and safety and good housekeeping
Ability to plan and organize workload
Be able to work independently and as part of a team
Display positive attitude to learning and all work-related activities
Demonstrate good work practices including timekeeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality and safety awareness
