Job Duties:
Reading & accurately interpreting engineering drawings
Setting up & operating machinery with Fanuc controls
Operating a variety of workshop machinery
Work in line with company quality & efficiency standards
Prepare product for the next stage of the production process
Carry out in-process quality checks
Engage with company MRP system
Observe all H & S rules
Carry out basic machine maintenance & ensure a high level of housekeeping

Qualifications / Experience:
Essential Criteria:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings
Experience setting & operating machines with Fanuc controls
Experience operating workshop machinery
Ability to operate independently & to the required efficiency & quality standards
Experience of in-process inspection of goods
Fully competent with CNC software
Computer literate
Awareness of H &S policy
Strong communication skills both verbal & written
Strong numeracy & literacy skills
Ability to demonstrate a strong timekeeping & attendance record
Ability to carry out basic machine maintenance
Willingness to be flexible in accordance with business needs

Desirable Criteria:

5 years’ + experience working in a similar role
Experience working within precision engineering
Experience working within the hydraulics industry
Engineering qualification (CNC specialism)
CNC Milling experience advantageous
