Primary Purpose of Job: The IT Support Engineer provides technical assistance to computer users across the organisation, either in person, via telephone or electronically.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

· Provide second line technical support and assistance to internal customers on all matters relating to IT through the IT Helpdesk

· Log, track and monitor all help desk interactions to ensure a timely resolution and maintain thorough communication with the user until the help desk request can be closed

· Use strong analytical skills to analyse and resolve technical issues relating to a broad range of IT hardware and software applications and quickly escalate issues that require urgent attention or more senior level support

· Provide support to the IT department as needed

· Support on the documentation of procedures and processes in order to support the IT Helpdesk

· Procure, install, configure and upgrade user PCs, Laptops, Software, Phones, Printers and other devices as required

· Participate in I.T. projects and system roll outs as required to facilitate improvements to business processes and/or infrastructure

· Although based in head office, you will occasionally travel to other sites in the company
