Sandymount Hotel at Aviva Stadium is Dublin’s largest independent family operated hotel with 189 bedrooms. We are recruiting for a Maintenance operative to join our small and friendly team.
The role is responsible for ensuring that the overall maintenance of the hotel is excellent and safe for our guests and employees. It is also to manage and respond to all maintenance issues professionally and efficiently.
To be successful in this role you will need solid experience within a maintenance role so that you are familiar and confident with electrical and plumbing systems. A good understanding of hotel services is also desirable.
Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobby and conference rooms
Organise repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
Act quickly to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
Utilise the online maintenance system and report on daily activities
Ensure health and safety policies are complied with
A proactive approach that focuses on a preventative maintenance program
Familiarity with plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry and painting
Full clean drivers licencePrevious experience in the hotel industry experience is desirable
Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
The working week is Monday to Friday. There may be occasions when you are required to come in for an urgent issue outside of usual working hours for which there will be compensation
