37 hours per week
In conjunction with the Strategic Planning Group and the relevant Project Teams, the Projects Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of all aspects of designated capital projects initially, and other ad hoc projects as and when required by the organisation. The Projects Manager will also work with the Strategic Planning Group to develop robust processes and procedures for the management and delivery of projects within KARE.
Key Responsibilities for this position:
Developing and managing processes, procedures and templates for delivery of projects.
Establishing project objectives, goals and timelines and directly influencing the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the project.
Managing the documentation related to all projects, i.e. tracking the progress of the project at every stage, from start-up through every activity until the project has been completed and signed off.
Managing project schedules, budgets and cashflows and keeping project costs under control and in line with budget.
Preparing weekly/monthly/quarterly status reports, financial reports, etc. as per agreed reporting schedule.
Managing all Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAID) related to the project and ensuring that these are reviewed as per agreed schedule.
Supporting project team members in understanding assigned tasks and assisting them in completing them on time.
Ensuring all assigned tasks in the project are completed within agreed timeframes
Ensuring each project meets the service, facilities and financial expectations of the organisation.
Sourcing and securing appropriate funding for projects.
Carrying out required project administrative duties.
Maintaining positive working relationships with the Strategic Planning Group, Project Team Members and key stakeholders.
Maintaining high professional standards and confidentiality at all times.
Adhering to the organisation’s policies, processes and procedures.
Participating in staff training and development as required.
Participating in the organisation’s Performance Management System.
Participating in the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the organisation as relevant.
Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements for this position:
A relevant qualification in Project Management.
Demonstrated experience of project management/delivery.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
Proven organisational skills including attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management and a knowledge and understanding of the associated regulatory requirements.
Experience of project funding procedures and guidelines.
Be a self-starter and able to work on own initiative.
Ability to work effectively as a team leader.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, trouble-shoot and meet short and long-term deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills.
A full clean driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable for this position
An understanding of facilities management and relevant regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of the Intellectual Disability Sector and the relevant regulatory requirements associated with it.
