Seeking to expand our existing team, we are looking for quality engineers/auditors to grow and develop in a fast-moving environment. Our Quality, Auditing and Inspection Department provides quality consultancy services to the offsite construction industry as well as auditing services to construction product certification bodies.
Main duties and responsibilities
Conducting audits (desk-based or on clients’ sites) in accordance with the Construction Product Regulations, ISO 9001 management systems and auditing schemes’ requirements.
Auditing client facilities and installations on site during and after construction to assess conformity on behalf of certification bodies.
Effectively communicating with assigned clients and staff to ensure efficient audit planning and timely resolution of questions and non-conformities.
Assisting clients achieve certification of their products/building systems with the relevant certification bodies e.g., BBA, BOPAS, SCI and NSAI.
Project Management of testing on behalf of Clients.
Providing technical advice to clients on Light Gauge Steel, Modular and other innovative building products, and their ability to meet legislative requirements e.g., CE Marking.
Keeping abreast of technology and regulatory trends affecting certification.
Third Level qualification in Engineering or Construction related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality, auditing or inspection role within the construction industry.
Experience of auditing quality management and factory production control systems.
Experience in positions with significant quality management system responsibility;
Experience of compliance and auditing techniques;
A recognized QMS or Lead Auditor qualification.
